Kanoe People Ltd also own and operate Fox Bay Retreat, an off-the-grid hideaway on Lake Laberge. The lake is a wonderful playground for water sports of all types including canoeing, kayaking, boating, fishing and much more.
Fox Bay Retreat can be reached by water in summer and across the ice in winter. There is also a privately maintained 8km bush road that comes off the North Klondike Highway into the Retreat. 
Lake Laberge is part of the Yukon River system and was a very prominent feature during the times of the Klondike Gold Rush in the late 1890s. Canoeists doing the river trip from Whitehorse to Dawson City must paddle the length of the lake on their way to the Klondike 500mi/760km away. There is a selection of rental cabins available and rates range from $270.00 to $375.00 for an unforgettable two night – three day stay.
